Imunify360 is a comprehensive security solution for Linux web servers, providing malware detection, firewall, patch management, and proactive defense. This guide walks you through installing Imunify360 on CentOS, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and Debian servers.

Supported Operating Systems

  • ✔ CentOS 7 and 8
  • ✔ AlmaLinux 8
  • ✔ Rocky Linux 8
  • ✔ Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, 22.04
  • ✔ Debian 9 and 10

Prerequisites

  • ✔ Root SSH access to the server or user with sudo privileges
  • ✔ Ensure your server has internet access to download packages
  • ✔ Backup important data before proceeding

Step-by-Step Installation Commands

  1. Step 1: Login to your server as root via SSH:
    ssh root@your-server-ip
  2. Step 2: Update your system packages:
    # For CentOS/AlmaLinux/Rocky Linux:
    yum update -y

    # For Ubuntu/Debian:
    apt-get update && apt-get upgrade -y

  3. Step 3: Download the Imunify360 installation script:
    wget https://repo.imunify360.cloudlinux.com/defence360/i360deploy.sh
  4. Step 4: Run the installation script:
    bash i360deploy.sh
  5. Step 5: Restart the server (recommended after install):
    reboot
  6. Step 6: Check if Imunify360 service is running:
    systemctl status imunify360
  7. Step 7: If the license is not detected or shows a quota/license error, manually register it:
    /usr/bin/imunify360-agent register YOUR_LICENSE_KEY
Replace YOUR_LICENSE_KEY with your actual key.
Note: Use this command only if automatic activation fails or returns an error like:
"Unable to register license: quota exceeded" or "License not found".
  8. Step 8: Enable Imunify360 to start at boot (optional):
    systemctl enable imunify360

✅ Bonus Pro Tips:

  • Keep your system updated before and after installation to avoid conflicts.
  • Ensure port 443 is open in your firewall to access the web interface.
  • Use imunify360-agent info to check installation and license status.
  • If you’re using cPanel, restart it after installation: service cpanel restart
  • You can re-run the installer safely if needed — it won’t overwrite config files.
